i am 38 yrs old .in delhi and want to learn german from max muller bhavan .is it possible to join at this age
The older we get, the harder it is to learn a new language. But it is very possible. If you can speak English, you will have an easier time learning German than if you spoke a Indian dialect, since many German words are similar to English.
Have fun!

How hard is it to learn German?

Im planning on ordering Rosetta Stone-German. But, I heard its really hard to learn. I love Germany and I would love to move there one day. But, how nessary is it to learn the language before I go. & HOw much left is there at the concentration camps? Thanks
yes, spanish is my second lang.
German is actually easy for native English speakers, because English is a Germanic language. The biggest difference is that nouns can be Masculine, Feminine, or Neutral (instead of all Neutral like English), but even that doesn't really matter that much.
Good luck!
How hard is it to learn to speak German fluently?

How hard is it to learn to speak German fluently? Im American, and 14yrs old and Im very interested in the German culture. So Im wondering how hard it is to learn German fluently. Im sure that the learning experience [I couldn't think of the proper word?] is different for anyone, but Im asking in general. Thank you
German is NOT similar to French or Spanish. That’s not to say that learning these languages doesn’t pose it’s own problems, but German’s problems are different. For me the hardest part is what’s called declension. Basically what that means is that any article or adjective changes depending on the type of modifier, how it’s used, and the noun’s gender.
For example, you say:
Das ist ein Mann. = That is a man.
Ich kenne einen Mann. = I know a man.
Ich gebe einem Mann den Ball. = I’m giving a man the ball.
Though it’s easy to memorize these case changes, it’s very difficult for me at least to internalize them, which you need for fluency. You don’t have time to sit and think.
Fluency in any language is a lot of work. A whole lot more work than you could ever realize. Think about how long it took you to learn English so that you could ever really carry on a conversation… Probably at least 10 to 15 years. And you had the advantage of being immersed in the language 100% of your life.
Good luck. Or should I say, Viel Glueck!?
What is the best way to learn German without being able to speak it with native/other speakers?
October 19, 2008 by Admin - LearnGermanLanguage.org · 3 Comments
What is the best way to learn German without being able to speak it with native/other speakers? I am trying to learn the German language and am using the Pimsleur German and Berlitz German programs. I am wondering if there is a faster, easier, or better way to do it. I also have a very large library of German teaching books with exercises, but I have yet to use them very much.
You can use an audio-book-cd, than you can buy the book in english and in german. If you want to speed up german language learning and speaking German fast. I suggest to really combine your materials (reading, courses, movies etc).
How long did it take you to learn and speak German good?

How long did it take you to learn and speak German good? I am trying to learn it, I would like to hear someone elses experience learning German. I started learning it at age 14 and passed my GCSE (age16 exams in the UK) at 16 with an A grade. I went on to study it to age 18. I’m now 30 and it’s a tad rusty to be honest, more through lack of practice.
You need a really good teacher and also you need the opportunity to immerse yourself in the language – read German newspapers, books, watch German films. Ideally, visit Germany and immerse yourself in the country. It takes time and planning to learn and speak German good

What is the best mp3 program to use to learn German?
October 19, 2008 by Admin - LearnGermanLanguage.org · 2 Comments
need an mp3 German lesson. I just started, I am starting a rotation, I learn more when I switch between languages every few months/weeks. So this is a bit of an experiment. I have Pimslurs Japanese, and I only learn from that as I am falling asleep. So something musical, or really efficient.
I could still recommend Pimsleur German, aside from that there are other options of learning german software.
byki comes to mind and Rocket german.
Maybe try out to learn german online free with our free course, sign up on the right.
