November 19, 2008 by Admin - LearnGermanLanguage.org
I want to know what i should learn to speak the language. I am taking a class in school to learn german but i want to learn more. How can i be able to speak it better?
danke =D
Hallo
nice that you are learning German.
Here are some tips to learn German:
Some courses that come to mind:
Pimsleur German
Assimil German
Rosetta Stone German (not a big fan of it but some seem to like it)
Passive Learning tips:
- look around on IMDB for good rated German movies, get them with English subtitles.
- In Germany they synchronize everything on TV, you could even get American movies spoken in German (although i admits i find it highly annoying)
I wish you all the best in learning the German language

Hi, I agree with Language L, watching movies in German can greatly accelerate your learning progress.
Good (and free) online resources for learning German are scarce, so I want to recommend you this huge online course: http://www.deutschakademie.de/online-deutschkurs/english/
It has a really sweet feature of a help function, which lets you directly contact a German teacher for individual support. So you get all your doubts cleared out via e-mail, and its all complimentary.
This will most definitely help you to practice German – it consists of more than 20.000 exercises and is completely free of charge: http://www.deutschakademie.de/online-deutschkurs/english/
Good luck!!!
