i am 38 yrs old .in delhi and want to learn german from max muller bhavan .is it possible to join at this age

The older we get, the harder it is to learn a new language. But it is very possible. If you can speak English, you will have an easier time learning German than if you spoke a Indian dialect, since many German words are similar to English.
Have fun!

How long did it take you to learn and speak German good?

How long did it take you to learn and speak German good? I am trying to learn it, I would like to hear someone elses experience learning German. I started learning it at age 14 and passed my GCSE (age16 exams in the UK) at 16 with an A grade. I went on to study it to age 18. I’m now 30 and it’s a tad rusty to be honest, more through lack of practice.

You need a really good teacher and also you need the opportunity to immerse yourself in the language – read German newspapers, books, watch German films. Ideally, visit Germany and immerse yourself in the country. It takes time and planning to learn and speak German good

What’s the best thing to use to learn German?

I need to learn German, but there’s so many CDs, books, websites and whatnot to choose from I don’t know which one to use. I don’t really care if you have to buy it (Though free is always better), I just need to be able to hold a conversation in German, learn the basic everyday things and the like.
Any suggestions on what to use?
